COURSES AFTER B.ARCH

Here is an overview for you as to where can you do your post graduation from in India and what qualification you require to get into certain colleges abroad.

GATE:

Graduate Aptitude for Engineering is a scholarship exam conducted by IISc Bangalore and the seven IITs. This exam takes place in February every year. Following is a list of colleges which consider GATE scores for scholarship and the courses they offer

  • IIT Roorkee. Course offered - M.Arch, M.U.R.P
  • School of Planning and architecture, New Delhi. Course offered - M.Arch ( Architectural Conservation, Industrial Design, Urban Design) - M.Planning ( Environment Planning, Housing, Transport Planning, Regional Planning, Urban Planning) - Master Program in Building Engineering and Management - Master’s Program in Landscape Architecture.
  • IIT Kharagpur. Course offered - Master in City Planning - M.S in Architecture and Regional Planning.
  • Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Course offered - M.Arch
  • Guru Ramdas School Planning, GNDU, Amritsar. Course offered - M.Tech (Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Housing)
  • R.V College of Engineering, Bangalore. Course offered - M.Arch(Urban Planning).
  • Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur. Course offered - M.Arch(Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture).

CEED.

Common Entrance Exam for Design is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. It tests the visual perception ability, drawing skills, design aptitude and communication skills of the student.

Following is the list of colleges and courses available through CEED.

  • CPMD, IISc Bangalore. Course offered - M.Des(Product design and engineering).
  • Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay. Course offered - M.Des(Industrial design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Animation).
  • IDDC, IIT Delhi. Course offered - M.Des(Industrial Design).
  • Design Program IIT Kanpur. Course offered - M.Des(Industrial Design).
