Some of the points which i will be discussing about giving interviews are important for all students. Appearing for campus in college or appearing for MBA Entrance exams all require to sit in an interview. This are the following points for giving interviews.
Approaching for an interview.
- Dress Sense. You have to dress right for interviews, don’t wear anything too flashy, neat and clean are more important than the latest fashion. Dressing for success means dressing appropriately for the environment for which the interviewer think. The aim is to look professional without overdoing it. If you are not comfortable with a shirt and tie, it might be best not to wear one, unless the MBA will require you to dress this way. It is important that you feel comfortable. The last thing you want is to be worried about your appearance during the interview. It will only make you nervous and you will quickly lose confidence.
- Revisions. You should be prepared for the question that are commonly asked. i.e what are your knowledge about computers? then Why are you right for particular business school? etc. Be prepared for questions about your project? Then about your training programmes which you have done.
- Look Organized. Work out the things that you have to present in front of the jury. Some of the things are, a copy of the CV, original qualification papers, samples of work, hard copy of your project, training certificates etc. Don’t take a pile of paper that you have to shift through for ten minutes to find anything.
- Behaviour. Try to be witty, charming, natural self. Don’t try to put on any unnatural behaviour. You should have in your mind what you have to convey about who you are before you go into the interview. Lack of preparation is the common complaint among interviewers and if you are prepared then you will be standing out of the competitors.
- Don’t Waste time. Don’t waste time in the interview, remember that the first impression you have created is very important. Have an unique thought in front of the jury. GD are very important so don’t create a fish market their. You have to be unique and to the point for the GD topic. Don’t just divert from the topic. You have to choose for or against the topic. Just remember that you have to be unique in the conversation.
