What is concept behind any building design?
This is really a big question because any building forms or drawings require a concept. A concept can be any thing i.e a green building or any shapes etc. Some think that concept is not the factor for building design but they are wrong, without concept nothing can be designed.
What we think as a concept, is the main part after that we derive the design from that concept. Theme and concept are different. Theme means what we take and concept means what we consider. Let us take an example theme as a green building and concept as steel and glass. In this we are designing the building as a green building which is a theme and our concept is to design with steel and glass as a green building. A green building means a designing the building sustainable and eco-friendly. Now steel and glass is an recyclable material which means it can be reused which is an eco friendly thing. This are the points which we consider in designing a building. Let us consider a concept of optical illusion, in this we can consider a building as an optical illusion which means what we can see in a building which is not present. Some of concepts we can consider are-
spontaneity, charkha, peace etc, we can consider any concept but main part is the designing from that concept.
