Film and Videography, New Media Design
The medium of television has given a great impetus in the progress of mass communication in today’s world. Its easy access by all strata of the society and its immense potential has made this medium completely indispensable in today’s information-driven world. It accompanies one’s daily transitions from work to relaxation and from relaxation to sleep; and they synchronize disparate fields of our experience with the rhythms of transmitted joys, sorrows, and news. From social documentaries to market savvy advertisements or entertainment communication, the television has also evolved an idiom of its own.The ubiquitous medium is responsible for varied role playing in our society. Be it delivering the latest on an upcoming political situation, selling a car, or perhaps informing all citizen’s about polio vaccination, the medium is constantly changing its definitions and challenging its so-called limits. The documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ was the winner of this year’s Oscars in the Best Documentary Film category. It also won Al Gore this years Nobel Prize for peace.
