3ds Max, a software for making 3d models and animation. Is this really helpful for Architecture students. I think this one of the software by Autodesk which is so popular for making 3d models and animation. It can be helpful because we can have a lot of options to produce a quality rendering. I am talking about some of the softwares that can be very helpful for you to create a quality production. This are as follows:-

Autodesk Revit

Autodesk AutoCAD

Autodesk 3ds Max

This are software that are used by an architect. So Now I want to share that how can this softwares been incorporated with architecture.

Autodesk Revit, The latest version is 2008 which has a huge library. So This is a software which can be used to create a 3d building model easily. Just by creating walls, windows and doors. You can try this software because this is easy to learn and time saving software for architects. Also we can easily transfer the files to AutoCAD and 3ds max as a ‘dwg’ format.

Now comes the AutoCAD, I have mentioned this software beacuse whatever we create in Revit can be edited in AutoCAD so that whatever we want we can get it. And this software is very useful for architect to work for working Drawings.

3ds Max, The main role for rendering is done 3ds Max. We have to select the materials in 3ds max and render in it. The material part is quite easy just create a material with material editor. The tough part is the rendering which requires a lot settings. I suggest V-Ray for rendering because it gives a good quality production. Lighting is also an important part which can be done easily by V-Ray. You can add peoples to your model from RPC Library. RPC is an archivision software which contains a 3D image and incorporates in your rendering.
